McNutt is a very unique prospect he posses the ability to play like a small player and has great height. He excels when playing through zone defences running rampart and putting up big yard after the catch. He can make catches away from his body and with his height can out jump many DB's to catch the ball at its highest point. He is a very good athlete who has a very good Football IQ and can read defences and understand what they are trying to do. At 6'4 he can be a threat in the end zone and is a reliable receiver when a play is needed. He still has room to add more bulk to his frame and become a more physical player.
He may not be the fastest player but he makes up for that with his quick burst to get in and out of cuts quickly and effectively. He may not be the No.1 Receiver on a team but for teams who like to control the ball McNutt is your guy. He will catch any ball thrown in his direction and move the chains. His biggest asset is the way he using his feet to get off the line and then uses his quickness to get up the field. Once he locates the ball he uses his body and block defenders. He is a player who you can rely on to keep the ball safe. He won't make basket catches often and will secure the ball as soon as get catches it. He won't be the quickest WR in the draft running a 4.50 40 yard dash. Going into the draft McNutt will be able to showcase his talents at the combine and will land in the 3rd round.
