Cam Johnson, DE Virginia

Johnson is a very versatile player he has played both Linebacker in a 3-4 scheme and Defensive End in a 4-3 scheme. He excelled when moved to Defensive End registering 6.5 sacks in his first season playing there. His production has dropped somewhat this year but he has still had a strong year. Missing 2 games this season he has only managed 4 sacks but has been productive and helped the Cavaliers on the defence as he is a great presence. Even though he has only managed 4 sacks he totalled 10 tackles for loss.

Johnson is perfectly sized to play DE at 6'4 and 270lbs he is a great fit where he lines up mainly because his best asset is his size. Johnson has a high motor and runs a 47 40 he has been clocked running as low as 4.67. At times Johnson will explode in games throwing weaker offensive lineman around. He could do with a few more moves to try and confuse lineman and get a break on the ball. With a good finish to the season and a strong show at the combine, Johnson will be a great 2nd choice in the draft.
