Jayron Hosley, CB Virginia Tech

Finishing the 2011 regular season with 56 tackles, 3 interceptions, 8 pass deflections and two forced fumble. Hosley has a had  productive year for the Hokies. He is not only a very good defensive player but contributes on special teams. He is averaging 11.1 yards per punt return which is very impressive. He really came on as a sophomore in 2010 were had recorded 9 interceptions. Hosley is somewhat undersized at 5'10 and 171lbs. He runs a 4.50 40 yard dash but has been clocked running a 4.42. His good hands make him a threat when the ball is thrown in his direction. If the ball is near him and he gets his hands on it he will make a play on it. His vertical leap is very good for a player of his size and allows him to make up for deficiencies in his pass coverage as he is able to leap with taller receivers. At times however he can get held up at the line by bigger and more physical receivers. Going into the draft in 2012 Hosley has been overall a very good player for Virginia Tech but at times has showed some weakness. He has the possibility to land in the 2nd round dropping into the 3rd.
