David Paulson, TE Oregon

Paulson may not be the best athlete but he is a player who when the ball is thrown to will make a play. He finished the 2011 regular season campaign with 28 receptions for 386 yards and 5 Touchdowns. They are pretty strong stats for a team that doesn't really use their TE's a lot. Paulson is a good blocker however he will never be a factor in run blocking as he isn't an effective power blocker. Paulson does well to stay with his defender and make him a factor when running. If he can learn the art of blocking and getting leverage he may one day become a TE that can factor as a power blocker in the run game. He is often used in deep vertical routes which shows off some of the burst he posses when getting off the line. Is faster than most Linebackers so he has the ability to create separation and gain yards after the catch. At times this season Oregon has lined Paulson up at a H-Back which to a NFL team could be a bonus as he can factor in different ways. Going into the 2012 draft Paulson will most likely be a late round pick falling in the 5th or 6th rounds.
