Lance Lewis, WR East Carolina

Lewis is arguably one of the most valuable assets to East Carolina's heavy passing attacking. He is the leading receiver for the Pirates with 60 receptions for 600 yards along with 8 touchdowns in 8 games. Lewis is very good at making quick turns to the ball. When the ball is within his reach his hands will be there waiting. The way he plays you can see him being a No.1 or 2 receiver on a team in the NFL who can help move the chain. When getting off the line of scrimmage he struggles at times due to his lack of explosiveness but does well to release from jams and accelerate with long strides up the field and when making breaks. The biggest thing amount Lewis is easily his hands he is a very reliable target who when a ball is thrown in his direction will always make the catch. You will rarely see him drop a ball. He can also make over shoulder catches well wherever the quarterback places the ball for him. Another benefit to his play is that he is a very physical player who can contribute in the run game. Lewis when entering the 2012 draft will project as a fourth round pick but could rise to a 3rd.
