David DeCastro OG, Stanford

DeCastro is not your ordinary Pass and Run blocker he is more than that. He has outstanding Pass and Run blocking skills thats a hard to find in a Guard. DeCastro is fierce and will by all means possible stop the Defence from breaking up the play. What is impressive with his play is that he can get to the 2nd level and block for backs. In the passing game he displays great balance which allows him to anchor after contact along with quick feet which help him in mirroring rushers. What makes him a great run blocker is that he has the strength to put someone on their back he can do this because he can generate leverage and push the Defender away. Going into the draft DeCastro will be one of the top Guards taken he has experience in a pro style blocking scheme playing at Stanford which will rise his stock as he will go into the NFL and not have to learn a new blocking style. No doubt that DeCastro will be a top pick and will most likely go in the first round if not he will be one of the first players taken going into the 2nd round.
