Chris Marve, LB Vanderbilt

Marve is one of the more experienced players in college football. He enrolled at Vanderbilt in 2007 and has been a starter ever since. He is been a solid contributor for the Commodores making plays all over the field. He considered entering the 2011 NFL draft but opted not to. That was a good decision as he has played better this season. This season Marve has really progressed he is first on the team with tackles 85 and has 1.5 sacks along with 1 interception and a forced fumble.

However Marve is undersized at 6'0 242lbs he has added bulk during his Junior and Senior campaigns. He can make up for being undersized with his speed in which he has been clocked in at running a 4.62 40. He is a very solid player but isn't that type of player who posses rare athleticsm or talent. Going into the draft Marve projects as a third round draft choice. He does have the potential to move higher with a good outing at the combine.

Julian Miller, DE West Virginia

Miller is a well built player who has the ability to explode off the line of scrimmage and stuff runs and fall back in coverage and make plays. He does have some room for improvement and could add some bulk to the lower half of his body to make him a stronger and more explosive player. Miller is great at getting a jump start on the snap. He has long arms which allow him to initiate contact and then disengage. This season The Mountaineers have moved Miller inside but he has still been as productive totalling a 40+ tackle and 6+ sack season for the third straight season.

Miller has a good motor and will chase plays down, but at times he plays to upright against the run he will need to do a better job of reacting and locating the ball. Miller has a lot of things to like his explosiveness off the line and his long arms. He will need to improvement his footwork, balance and pad leverage in order to make the leap into the NFL. At this moment in time Miller projects as a 4th or 5th round pick.

Mike Martin, DT Michigan

Martin is the anchor in the middle for the Wolverines. He is a very productive players who has a great inside presence whilst playing Defensive Tackle. What separates Martin from others is that he can constantly get leverage in a one on one match. Martin is a good fit for a 4-3 scheme but vastly undersized and inexperienced if he was put into a 3-4 scheme which he wouldn't excel or fit in. Due to him being undersized he can still win one on one match ups more often the he loses them. In turn he can then get good leverage and be in a good position to release and pursue the ball carrier.

Martin is very good at identifying the running lane and collapsing it. He does this even when he is blocked. He may not be the most athletic player on the field but he has a high motor which allows him to pursue plays and make a tackle. He does lack explosion off the line which he will need to improve in order to be an every down player. Going into the draft Martin looks like a solid player on tape but the combine could hurt his stock. He will most likely land in the third round of the draft.
